Christmas Eve night and "Santa" in Pajamas...

At seven o'clock in the morning on Christmas Day, Charlie, Lukie and I were still in bed.

I heard the sound of a bell coming from outside.

"Lukie, Lukie! Wake up, honey!" I said, and gave him a kiss. He started to wake up.

"Do you hear a bell ringing?" I asked. He opened his eyes and looked around.

"Yeah," he said.

"Mommy thinks that must be Santa's bell. Santa is outside," I said. "Daddy, wake up. Santa is here!"

"Santa is coming," said Luke.

When we opened the bedroom door, Grandma was already in the living room with her camera hanging around her neck, ready to take some pictures.

Santa is gone now. Is this really for me?

After Santa left, Lukie was full of joy and very happy about the truck Santa brought him. Later on Christmas morning, Sadie, Lukie's first cousin, came to play and open some presents. Kun Yai and Papa Jim came a little later and we finished opening all the presents after lunch.

I think Lukie enjoyed Christmas very much.

Grandma Birthday

December 12 is Grandma Birthday. This year we made Grandma her Birthday cake. Charlie and Lukie mixed the cake. We decided to make chocolate cup cakes for her. I know Lukie loves to sing Happy birthday song. And he loves to go to all his relatives birthday party too.



On Grandma's birthday we cooked dinner and also asked Grandma and Grandpa to come had dinner with us too. I cooked something simple but I know Grandma loves this meal too. Its roast port, bake sweet potato with pea and onion and steam brossal sprout.




After dinner we ask Grandma to come down and blow her birthday cake. Lukie helped Grandma to blow the candle.



Lukie has one chocolate cup cake with out frostting on it. I had a lot of Grandma's birthday cup cakes.

This Christmas will be Luke's third, even though he is only 28 months old. We put up our Christmas tree right after we came back from Thanksgiving in Sag Harbor. I still remember last time we put the Christmas tree. Lukie was just 16 months old. At that time I don't think he understood much about Christmas or Christmas trees, so it was difficult to keep all the ornaments on the tree.

This year Lukie helped us put the ornaments on the tree. Charlie and I told him not to take them off. He was curious about the ornaments and Christmas. Charlie and his mother keep talking about Santa Claus and the Christmas spirit. He seems to enjoy to listening to all these stories.

Grandma showed him just a little bit of Charlie Brown's Christmas. We don't want Lukie to sit down and watch TV or movies when he has a lot of stuff to play with, so Charlie Brown's Christmas was just a start. Charlie turned on a Christmas music CD for Lukie. Lukie loves it very much and he always asks me to turn it on for him. Now he knows the song titles and remembers which song come next. He also remembers some of the lyrics to Jingle Bells, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, Jingle Bell Rock and Frosty the Snowman, and he sings along to them.

Every day he says "Santa is coming to town." I don't know if he really believes in Santa but we just want him to be excited about Christmas.

I also bought a ginger bread house for Lukie to decolate with his grandmother. The first try was a mess. It collapsed after he put too many candies on the roof. I bought a second one and made it with Lukie. This time I asked him to do it very gently and to wait for the frosting to dry a little.

Grandpa is planning to surprise Luke on Christmas morning by becoming Santa Claus. I want to see Lukie's face when he sees a real Santa sitting on the sofa in the living room. I think it will be a lot of fun.

31 weeks and 1 day check-up

Monday 7 th December 2009

I had an appointment with the Doctor in Freehold office for the little one check up at 31 weeks. Charlie and Lukie also went with me too. The nurse called me about 5 minutes after. I had gain from 128.8 lbs to 129.4 lbs not even one pound since last check up. Maybe because I didn't eat much breakfast that morning. I had just a glass of milk.

Charlie and Lukie went in the room and wait for me while I was in the bath room. When I went in the room with a cup of my urinate in my hand, Lukie said "I'm thirsty mommy, can i have a sip" He cracked me up. I told him this is not water. It is a pee-pee. So he said "It's a pee-pee drink." He made everyone in the room laugh at how innocent he is.

The check up went well. Nothing to concern or worry. Doctor ask me if I have any questions. I asked her about my pain and sore from my hip and butt that sometime can hurt me and made me can't walk. She said nothing she can do about it. It is normal and it will be gone after deliver. She suggest that I should exercised more. She listen to the little one hart beat and mature my stomach. Everything went well, the little one heart beat sound nice and loud and my stomach is in the good size. Even though I think it is smaller than I was pregnant Lukie.

After the appointment we went to the Panara bread for lunch. Lukie called "It is Panara day today."

Can wait to see and meet the little one. He moves so strong and so often that sometime I think if he ever sleep at all.

Early in October of 2009, I decided to buy Lukie a Halloween costume. I know he likes Batman but I couldn't find one that was warm enough for him to wear in the cool weather, even on the internet. So I got a Superman costume for him instead.

I knew Lukie would miss trick-or-treating this year because of our trip to Thailand at the end of the month. But I didn't want to miss out on the chance to take some pictures of him in costume. I showed him the Superman costume and he was very excited to put it on. He knows about Superman since he has a children's book about super heroes that Charlie reads for him sometimes.

The first day he tried on the costume, it was so difficult getting him to take it off because he wanted to wear it to his nap, too. I told him that he couldn't sleep with his costume on. Finally, he believed me and took it off for his nap. After his nap, he put it on again until dinner time. He just loved it so much that he wanted to wear it every day for a week.

Later, I found a Batman costume for him but he didn't care for it. I think this was because of the mask, which was uncomfortable for him.

Even thought Lukie missed trick-or-treating this year, he had a lot of fun in Thailand.

แม่บอกว่าให้โทรหาเอ็ดดี้พี่ชายชาลีให้มากินไก่ที่บ้านด้วยกัน แล้วจะได้เล่นกับลุ๊คกี้ด้วย ชาลีก็โทรไปบอกแล้วเอ็ดดี้กับ กิ๊กภรรยาก็มาในวันแต็งส์กิฟวิ้ง กินกันห้าคนก็อร่อยเหาะจริง ๆ แม่ทำทุกอย่างอร่อยหมดเลยโดยเฉพาะโฮมเม็ด แครนเบอรรี่ซอส สุดยอดมาก ๆ ลุ๊คกี้ก็ตื่นเต้นเห็นไก่งวงตัวใหญ่ เตรียมตัวเตรียมใจไว้ว่าจะกิน เทอร์กี้ตลอด ก็กินไปเยอะพอสมควร แถมชอบ สตั๊ฟฟิ่งที่แม่ทำด้วย ไม่เคยเดาถูกหรอกว่าลูกจะชอบอะไร เขาลองแล้วชอบก็จะกินจนหมด แต่ไม่ชอบแล้วไม่มีคำที่สอง

เอ็ดดี้ เล่นอยู่กับลุ๊คกี้จนทุ่มกว่า ๆ ก็ต้องกลับเพราะว่าฝนตก ถนนลื่นแถมหมอกลงอีก เลยคิดว่ากลับบ้านอย่าดึกดีกว่าความจริงแล้ววันแต็งส์กิ๊ฟวิ่ง คิดถึงครอบครัวพี่เติ้ลอยู่เหมือนกัน คิดว่าถ้าแกไม่ต้องขับรถมาไกล ก็อยากจะชวนแกมาหม่ำไก่กันด้วย แต่ไหนจะท้อง ไหนจะต้องขับรถไกลอีกเลยคิดว่าหนหลังดีกว่า

หลังจากกินไก่งวงกันไป ชาลีก็รู้สึกง่วงเพราะเทอร์กี้ สลีพปี้เนส หลังจากเอ็ดดี้กลับบ้านก็ให้ลุ๊คกี้ดื่มโยเกิร์ทแล้วก็แปรงฟันเอาลูกเข้านอน แม่กับจิมมี่กลับมาประมาณสามทุ่มได้

วันรุ่งขึ้นแม่และจิมมี่ก็นั่งร่วมโต๊ะหม่ำเลฟ โอเวอร์เทอร์กี้กันอีกมื้อนึงยังอร่อยอยู่เหมือนเดิม ลุ๊คกี้ก็กินสวีทโพเทโทด้วย เห็นลูกกินเก่งขึ้นก็รู้สึกดีไปด้วย แม่จับลุ๊คกี้ชั่งน้ำหนัก เห็นแกบอกว่า ลุ๊คกี้หนักประมาณ 26 lbs อืม ดีใจหน่อยน้ำหนักขึ้นกับเขาบ้างถึงจะไม่มากก็ตาม

มีความรู้สึกผิดยังงัยไม่รู้ เพราะว่าไม่ได้อัพเดทอะไรเลย ยุ่งก็ไม่ยุ่งแต่ด้วยอาการท้องใหญ่ขึ้น และปวดเมื่อยตัวอย่างมากเลยไม่ได้ทำอะไรซักเท่าไหร่ ได้แต่ทำกับข้าวเลี้ยงลูก ก็เท่านั้นเอง

ท้องนี้อาการปวดก้นทั้งสองข้างรุนแรงมาก บางทีทำเอาเดินไม่ได้เลยต้องให้ชาลีช่วยดึงเวลาลุกขึ้น ทั้ง ๆ ที่ท้องนี้รู้สึกว่าไม่ใหญ่เท่าท้องลุ๊คกี้ด้วยซ้ำ

ไปหาหมอเมื่อวันจันทร์ที่แล้วน้ำหนักขึ้นปกติ คือสัปดาห์ละ หนึ่งปอร์น จากเช็คหนก่อนคือ 126.6 Lbs to 128.8 lbs ถามหมอว่าขนาดท้องเล็ก เด็กจะตัวเล็กหรือเปล่า แกก็วัดขนาดแล้วก็จับท้องดูแล้วส่ายหน้าพร้อมถามว่าลูกคนแรกน้ำหนักเท่าไหร่ตอนเกิด ปูก็บอกว่า 7.9 lbs แล้วแล้วแกก็กด ๆ ท้องดูตรงช่วงลิ้นปี้ แล้วก็ใต้สะดื้อ แล้วส่ายหน้าบอก ปกติ กู๊ดไซท้ ห่วงที่ว่าเพราะท้องนี้กินไม่เยอะเท่าไหร่ กินเวลาที่หิวอิ่มก็พอ ไม่ได้กินอะไรเสริมเพราะว่ารู้สึกท้องมันตึงกินไม่ไหวแล้วก็ไม่ได้กินก็เท่านั้นเอง แต่เจ้าตัวเล็กดิ้นเก่งและแรงมาก ๆ บางวันดิ้นหลายหนมาก ๆ บางทีคิดว่านี่ไม่ได้หลับได้นอนเลยหรือเพราะว่าดิ้นบ่อยจนรู้สึกว่าท้องโคลกคลากตลอด นอนตะแคงก็ไม่ค่อยสบายทั้งสองข้าง นอนตะแคงข้างชาลี ชาลียังรู้สึกทุกทีเวลาที่เจ้าตัวเล็กดิ้นเพราะเขาดิ้นแรงมาก สงสัยจะลิงแบบลุ๊คกี้อีกคนแล้ว

หลังจากไปหาหมอก็เลยไปฉลองอาหารแม็คซิกันกันสามคน อร่อยดีไม่ได้หม่ำมานานลุ๊คกี้ก็ดูจะชอบอยู่

หมอนัดให้ไปหาทุกสองอาทิตย์แล้ววันจันทร์หน้าก็ต้องไปหาอีกคิดว่าจะคุยเรื่องปวดก้นกับหมอ กลัวว่าหลังคลอดแล้วยังไม่หายจะแย่เอาเพราะ เวลาปวดมันเหมื่อนกับเส้นไปอยู่ระหว่างข้อต่อ ทำให้ปวดแปร็บ ๆ ทันทีบางทีก็ทำเอาทั้งขาชาไปเลย

นัดหนต่อไปคือ 30 weeks กว่า ๆ วันจันทร์ก่อนเที่ยง คิดว่าจะไปดูโรงพยาบาลแล้วก็รีจิสเตอร์เลย ถามหมอาโรงพยาบาลไหนดี เพราะเห็นแกทำงานสองโรงพยาบาล แกก็แนะนำ the centrastate in Freehold ระยะทางเท่ากัน แต่แกบอกว่าที่นี่ดีกว่าที่ Princeton ก็เลยคิดว่าเอาตามนั้นละกัน

Today is Monday, October 12, 2009.


It is only five days until our trip to Thailand. This is going to be Lukie's first visit to Thailand, and his first time meeting Kun Ta. Our flight departs on Sunday, October 18 from JFK International Airport. We will meet Papa Jim and Kun Yai at the airport. They are going to Thailand with us. I'm so glad that Papa Jim is going with us because Daddy can't go this time.

I'm so excited to see everyone in Thailand and also worried (as usual) about the trip. This is also going to be the first time we will be apart from Daddy for almost a month. Our trip is about 24 days but we will be on the airplane for almost two days. It is a long flight from the USA to Japan. I hope Lukie will be okay.



I am already sad that we will be apart from Daddy. I hope he will be okay by himself without us (Lukie and Mommy).

Lukie Potty Training

At our last visit to the pediatrician, she suggested we begin potty training Luke. She said he is ready because he communicates very well.

She said to sit him down on the potty five to ten minutes after his meal. Lukie always does his business after his meal when he is pretty full. She also said to do the same when he has to pee but do it every hour. If he can't do it that is okay. She suggested that a book is good to help him relax while on the potty (works for adults, doesn't it?).

Today is the first day on the real potty with the baby seat. Charlie took the honor for his son's first poop in the morning after breakfast. He couldn't do it. Keep on training!

August, 10 2009

Ten days after starting potty training, Lukie finally made his number 2 (^_^) in the toilet. We were so happy he did it. Lukie didn't seem to be surprised or anything but the parents were very excited. :D I think it is a good sign.

This morning, we got up pretty early to get ready for the ultrasound at the hospital. I have to thank Lukie for waking me up on time because I went to bed pretty late last night.


I got ready and gave Lukie his breakfast, and by 8:30 a.m. we left the house. My appointment was 9:15 but I did not get called in until 10:00.


The ultrasound took about 45 minutes. Lukie and Charlie were also in the room to watch the little one in my stomach move around. Lukie was very calm watching the monitor with Charlie. He sang a lot of songs while the technician worked the ultrasound.

We also found out the gender of the little one.

Afterwards, the doctor came in and talked about the baby. He said everything appeared to be fine. This time I could see the little one so clearly and for longer than when I was pregnant with Lukie.

After the ultrasound, we went to have breakfast at a pancake house. Everyone was hungry -- even Lukie, who already had his yogurt and cheerios before we left the house.

I'm so glad that everything looks fine. All I want is for the little one to be okay.


The little one is at 20 weeks and 1 day.

Weight is 12 oz and my weight is 118 lbs. I have gained 2 lbs since my last doctor visit.

Lukie update

In only 7 days, Lukie will be 26 months old. His stuttering seems to be a little better but he still has difficulty getting the first word out sometimes. He stutters when he tries to make a long sentence.


His eating is better but we still don't give him anything right after his meal for fear that he might throw up. Feeding seems to be easier and he enjoys eating in restaurants. Too bad that he only feeds himself when he is very hungry, and only his favorite foods.


Lukie got two vaccines last week: the flu shot and typhoid. I only decided for him to have them because we are planning to go to Thailand next month.


His potty training is still going on but no progress yet. So far, he only did it once.

Summer is very fun for Lukie

This summer has been so much fun for Lukie. He spent a lot of time playing outdoors. We went to Sag Harbor last Wednesday and every day was full of activity.

Our first day there, Daddy called Uncle Eddie. Uncle Eddie drove for one hour to play with Lukie and give him his birthday present. (Again, Lukie's birthday seems never to end) :P

Second day, we went to the beach in the afternoon because we had to wait for Kun Yai to come back home from golfing. We stay from 12 o'clock to 2:30 and Lukie napped late.

Day three, we took it easy. We went to breakfast in town and walked around. Lukie played in the little pool in the back yard after his nap.

Saturday and Sunday, we spent our afternoons at the beach.

Monday, Papa Jim took a ride with us to Rita's Stables in Montauk. Lukie had so much fun running around the farm and riding "Popcorn," an old white pony. After the farm we went to lunch at The Dock restuarant. Lukie was so tired he fell asleep in the car on the way back home. When we got home, I carried him out and smelled poop in his diaper. I had to change his diaper, and Lukie was so tired that he didn't even wake up.

We all had a lot of fun. Daddy was able to forget about his stress. When we got in the car to drive back to New Jersey, Papa Jim was pretty sad. He really wanted us to stay longer, maybe two weeks, but because you and Mommy had to see the doctor we had to go back home. Lukie was a pretty good boy all the way to New Jersey. He didn't sleep at all for the three hour drive. We stopped at Mitsuwa for lunch and got home around 4:00 pm. This summer was quite memorable for us.

Some Things I'm Worried About!

We are in New York this weekend visiting Papa Jim and Kun Yai. The weather is very nice but it gets too hot sometimes in the afternoon. Lukie spends a lot of time outside playing in his little pool in the backyard with Papa Jim. We went to the beach two days ago and Lukie had so much fun playing in the sand. He gets so tan. Charlie always puts sunscreen on him but Lukie still gets tan so easily. Sometimes he points to his arm and says, "it's black." Well, I myself don't like to be in the sun much at all but because my son loves to be outside I have to do it.

When Lukie was 22 months old, I notice a brown spot on his left hand. It was small, like a dot from a pen when I first saw it. Charlie asked the doctor about it during Lukie's last checkup. She said it was nothing to worry about. So I'm not too worried, but I noticed that the spot has gotten larger since Lukie turned 24 months. I think I have to call the doctor about this just to be sure.

Stuttering

Lukie is an early talking kid. At just over 2 years, he can communicate with others almost like a 3-year-old. Around the time of his second birthday, Charlie and I noticed Lukie would stutter when he was tired (he always becomes very talkative when he is tired). He would repeat the first word of a sentence over and over again before completing the sentence. We just thought this was probably because he was tired and couldn't figure out what he wanted to say. But this week his stuttering has become noticeably worse. He stutters now even when he is well rested, and sometimes his voice takes on a high pitch when he is struggling to get the words out. So Charlie did some research online. Apparently, about five percent of children will stutter some time during their lives (usually between ages two and four). About 80 percent of these children will gradually stop stuttering, usually within six months. Still, we plan to ask Lukie's pediatrician about this.

Throwing up after meals

This is very upsetting to me. Lukie throws up at least once a week. It's been more than a month now. First I thought it was because he still had food in his mouth when he got down from the high chair to play, and the horsing around made him gag. So now we always try to keep him seated while he eats. Sometimes he would gag on a piece of fruit, or his vitamin that I would give him after dinner, and throw up his entire meal. Once, when he finished his dinner and saw Charlie eating a cookie he asked for a bite. Charlie gave it to him and just a minute after he bit a little piece of cookie, he started coughing (on a crumb?) and threw up all the food he had eaten. So we decided not to give him anything right after his meal. But he still throws up. Sometimes he just keeps the food in his cheeks instead of swallowing it. When I finally tell him to spit out the big ball of food, he gags and makes himself throw up. This is very frustrating because it is a lot of work getting him to eat in the first place. Of course I have to cook his food, then Charlie reads him a story while I feed him. He still won't feed himself more than a few bites. So I'm going to ask the doctor about this, too.

ลุ๊คกี้เดี๋ยวนี้ชอบเล่นตัวต่อเลโก้มาก เล่นได้ทุกวัน แถมนั่งต่อคนเดียวได้นานสองนาน ท่าทางคงจะเพลินเขาแหละเพราะว่าไม่ค่อยกวนเท่าไหร่ (ต้องขอบคุณป้า ๆ มาก ๆ ที่อุตส่าห์ส่งมาให้เป็นของขวัญวันเกิดลุ๊คกี้)ลุ๊คกี้เป็นเด็กชอบเล่นรถบรรทุก ต่าง ๆ นา ๆ ชอบมาก ๆ เลยทำให้ของขวัญวันเกิดแบบนี้เป็นอะไรที่อเมซิ่งสำหรับลุ๊คกี้มาก ๆ เพราะสามารถต่อเป็นรถแบบต่าง ๆ ได้ตามจิตนาการของตัวเอง หลังจากได้ของเล่นมาสองอาทิตย์แล้วเดี๋ยวนี้ต่อล้อรถและตัวรถได้แล้ว บางทีก็ยังต้องขอความช่วยเหลือจาก ปู หรือชาลีอยู่ ชาลีเองก็ชอบนั่งเล่นต่อรถกับลูกมาก เล่นได้เป็นนานสองนานเท่าที่จับเวลาได้คือ ตื่นจากหลับกลางวันสี่โมงครึ่ง แล้วก็นั่งเล่นอยู่นั่นแหละจน หกโมงครึ่งได้เวลาดินเนอร์พอดี ไม่ร้องขอออกไปเล่นนอกบ้านด้วย ถือว่าเป็นของเล่นที่ ช่วยให้ปูสามารถทำไรได้เยอะขึ้น แต่บางทีก็ต้องคอยดู เรื่องเดี๋ยวเอาเข้าปาก อันนี้ความจริงแล้วลุ๊คกี้เป็นเด็กไม่ค่อยเอาของเข้าปากมาแต่ไหนแต่ไร แต่มีอยู่หนนึง นั่งต่อเลโก้อยู่ด้วยกัน ลุ๊คกี้ดันเอาเลโก้เล็ก ๆ ยัดเข้าหูตัวเอง (เฮ้อ) ก็ต้องคอยบอก แล้วก็ไม่ทำอีก

Saturday, August 15, 2009: Today, we met the Dheeradhada family at Mitsuwa Marketplace in Edgewater. Lukie met his good friend Allie. They were so happy to see and play with each other. We had lunch and went food shopping together. Allie let Lukie hold her hand while they were waiting for their parents to finish shopping. They were walking around and around, jumping and laughing. What a delightful sight. :D

Allie was sad when we had to say goodbye. She wanted to keep playing with Lukie. Lukie was talking about Allie, Auntie Tle and Uncle X all the way home and at bedtime until he fell asleep. I think he had so much fun and was very happy to see the Dheeradhada family today. :D

อยากบ่น

ความจริงแล้วไม่อยากบ่น แต่ต้องขอบ่นหน่อยเศรษฐกิจแบบนี้ หลังจากที่ชาลีโดนเล อ๊อฟ จากที่ทำงานก็ทำให้ต้องใช้จ่ายอะไรแบบระวังมากขึ้น ไม่ซื้อของสุลุ่ยสุล่าย กิเลสก็หมดไปโดยไม่ต้องบังคับขู่เข็น ความจริงแล้วกิเลสเรื่องซื้อของ ซื้อเสื้อผ้าให้ตัวเองนี่หมดไปตั่งแต่ท้องลุ๊คกี้แล้ว

หลังจากที่เศรษฐกิจทำให้สามีต้องโดนออกจากงาน ก็แน่นอนต้องเอาตังค์ที่เก็บไว้เพื่อเวลาเกิดเหตุฉุกเฉินมาใช้ ดีหน่อย(คิดในแง่ดี)ที่อเมริกาสามารถไฟร์ อันเอ็มพลอยเมนท์ได้ แต่อย่าให้พูดถึงตรงนั้นเลยว่าพอหรือเปล่าสำหรับครอบครัว จริง ๆ แล้วมันไม่พอจริง ๆ ถ้าต้องมารอและดีเพนออนมันนี่ ที่ทางรัฐบาลเขา ขูดเลือดจากเราไป แล้วก็กระเบียดกระเสียนจ่ายเรากลับมา ดีที่ไม่ต้องจ่ายค่าอะไรต่ออะไรเยอะ เหมือนเมื่อก่อน แค่ต้องจ่ายค่า ประกันสุขภาพ และ ประกันรถเท่านั้นเอง ถึงได้บอกว่า รู้สึกยกย่องสิ่งที่ไม่เคยยกย่องมากขึ้นกว่าเมื่อก่อนเยอะ

เข้าเรื่องดีกว่า ที่อยากบ่นเพราะว่าด้วยความที่เราทำงาน สามีทำงานโดนหักแท็คไปแบบที่คนที่ทำงานจะรู้ว่ามันเยอะเวลาที่เราทำงานแล้วเห็นเช็คที่ได้ต้องโดนหักไอ้โน้น ไอ้นี้ไป เหลือให้เรากลับมาบ้านแค่ เจ็ดสิบห้าเปอร์เซ็นของรายได้ที่สมควรจะได้จริง ๆ แล้วมันน้ำตาตกในทำอะไรก็ไม่ได้ ต้องกระเบียดกระเสียนตรงนี้เก็บไว้เพื่อฉุกเฉินอีก ไม่เหลือที่จะทำอะไรได้เลยพูดตรง ๆ

ถึงตรงนี้รัฐบาลเมกัน ยังมีระบบสำหรับคนที่ไม่ได้ตกงาน แต่ไม่ทำงาน ที่รู้กันอยุ่คือ เวลแฟร์(มันไม่แฟร์ซะหน่อย) ให้คนพวกนี้ เข้าเรื่อง เมื่อวานไปซื้อกับข้าว เดี๋ยวนี้ซื้อของ หนึ่งร้อยเหรียญ ต่างกันอย่างกับฟ้ากับดินกับสมัย(ไม่นานนัก)เมื่อ ห้าปีที่แล้ว ซื้อสิ่งที่จำเป็นเท่านั้น นมลูก น้ำส้ม กับข้าวต่อ สัปดาห์(จะถึงหรือเปล่าขึ้นอยู่กับว่าทำอะไรด้วย) ไก่ และ หมู อย่างละหนึ่งแพ็ค ขนมปังหนึ่งแถว ชีเรียวโอ (มาเล่าว่าซื้ออะไรไปบ้าง) จ่ายไป เกือบ ร้อยกว่าเหรียญ ก็ประมาณ แปดสิบสามเหรียญ เห็นรถเข็นมีถุงใส่กับข้าวต่าง ๆ แค่ สีถุงเท่านั้นเอง (ทำมัยของมันแพงขนาดนี้)

ก็รอจ่ายตังค์ แต่ก็ต้องมาสะดุดที่ครอบครัวหน้าเรา ที่เขาจ่ายกับข้าวเหมือนกัน ดูของเขาแล้วก็ไม่มีอะไรมากนะ มีกาแฟ จากสตาร์บัค น้ำตาล(สงสัยกาแฟหมดบ้านปูคิด) มันฝรั่งกรอบสองถุง ป๊อปคอร์น ถุงใหญ่ ๆ ที่เป็นแบบ ชีสสีขาว แล้วก็น้ำผลไม้เป็นจุ๊ส ซี่ จุ๊ส ก็รอจ่ายตัง สักพัก ลูกสาวอายุประมาณ ห้า หรือ หกขวบก็ร้องจะเอาแคนดี้ หรือหมากฝรั่งนี่แหละ ที่เขามีไว้ที่ชั้น ๆ ก่อนจะเข่าจ่ายตังค์ ปูมองไปเห็นคนที่เป็นผู้ชาย สามีของครอบครัวหรือเปล่าใช้ บัตร ฟู๊ดสแต็ม

ถึงตรงนี้อึ้ง ตุบนิดหน่อย รู้สึกโมโห ปน น้อยใจในชะตากรรมของเราตะงิดตะงิด ว่าโห พวกใช้ เวลแฟร์นี่นา โห ดื่มกาแฟสตาร์บัคซะด้วย ซึ่งเราเคยชอบนะสมัยทำงาน ซื้อดื่มทุกวัน แต่ซื้อมาทำกาแฟที่บ้านจะถูกกว่าเยอะ แต่โห ได้ยินลูกสาว ร้องจะเอาหมากฝรั่งให้ได้ แล้วแม่ก็หยิบให้สองอัน แล้วก็รวมไปกับของที่ต้องจ่ายหรือ ต้องสแตมร์แล้วทำให้รู้สึกว่านี่มันอะไรกันนี่ เราต้องมาประหยัด ตะงิด ตะงิดเพื่อคนพวกนี้เหรอ เงินที่โดนหักไปทุกเพเช็ค ต้องมาซื้อกาแฟที่แพงระดันนึ่งในอเมริกันที่ไม่ทำงานเหรอ ลูกอยากกินจั๊ง ก็ไม่สอนลูกให้สงบสเงียมเจียมตัวเลยซักนิด เห็นแล้วโมโหมาก ความจริงแล้วไม่ใช่ว่าซื้อไม่ได้นะกาแฟสตาร์บัค ที่รู้สึกไม่ดี คือเขาไม่สอนลูกให้รู้จักว่าอะไรดี หรือไม่ดี มากกว่า

ลูกเราอยากได้จั๊งแบบนี้จะสอนให้ว่าไม่ดี เอาอย่างอื่นที่มีประโยชน์จะดีกว่า แต่นี่ไม่เลยทำเหมือนรวยเอาวางไว้ที่แคทเชียร์ แล้วก็ส่งบัตรให้เขาแสตมป์ พร้อมตรวจ ไอดี แล้วก็หิ้วถุงช๊อปปิ้งออกไป(มีแต่ของจั๊ง ๆ ทั้งนั้นเท่าที่เห็น)

เศร้ากับเรื่องแบบนี้ เลยต้องขอบ่นหน่อย ถ้าต้องทำงานแล้วเอาเงินส่วนเพเช็ค ญี่สิบห้าเปอร์เซ็นไปให้พวกที่อดอยากปากแห้งที่ เอทิโอเปีย หรือ ประเทศไหนก็ตามยังรู้สึกอยากจะทำงานให้หนักขึ้น ให้เงินนั้นมันได้ประโยชน์มากกว่านี้ซะดีกว่า

Monday, July 27th, 2009 was Lukie's birthday. I actually made a little birthday party for him two days before, on Saturday. My mother, her husband Jimmy, Charlie's brother Johnny, his wife Shannon and their daughter Sadie also visited. Lukie got a new tricycle from Grandpa and Grandma (thank you). Uncle Johnny gave Lukie John Deere tractors and John Deere tools (thank you very much). Lukie loves his birthday presents. I let him stay up pretty late and hoped he would get up late the next morning but no.

Kun Yai and Papa Jim (Jimmy) gave Lukie some cool outfits and some money to put in his savings account (thank you very much). I decided to get Lukie an ice cream cake for his birthday. We went to Cold Stone Creamery and Lukie picked out the style of cake that he liked best. I made pasta, salad and chicken cacciatore for the dinner. It was almost time for the party when I realized that we didn't have candles for the cake. Charlie went to the supermarket and bought candles. Charlie accidentally picked out a "1" candle instead of a "2." Luckily, he also got a pack of crayon candles. That was funny for me to laugh about but Charlie (pretty smart) said that we can use the "1" for the little one next year.

Lukie was very happy with his birthday party. Charlie and I didn't buy big presents for him this year. We got him two books from the book store. Lukie loves to listen to Charlie or I reading books to him. I hope one day he will be able to read them back to us.

Update: Lukie's 2-year check up at 2 years and 2 days old.

Height: 34 inches, 50th-25th percentile

Weight: 23 lbs, 5th percentile :( (again, low weight and we have to work on it)

Lukie been eating better since turning 18 months old. He drinks more cow's milk and yogurt, and has his snack time every day. The doctor did not seem too concerned about his weight. She asked if Charlie was skinny as a child? Charlie said yes.

the Doctor said maybe Lukie is like Charlie when he was a kid. Some how, I'm still not giving up with his eating. Lukie same to be interested in so many food now a day, when we take him to diffirent kinds of restaurant.

Doctor also suggest that we should train Lukie for his potty training. I ask if she think he is ready and she said yes. She said that Lukie is pretty sharp and very good with communication and we should try. Start with walk him to the bath room in the morning first and let him sit on the toilet for pee. If he cann't do it ,it is okay. Try to do it ofter after meal for number one and every one hour or two for number two.

Lukie's favorite food at this age

Udon, Tempura, Fried rice, Fried corn (Thai style), Miso soup, Tofu, Califonia roll, Salmon on the skewers, Congee with egg and ground pork and once every few week French fried.

Fruits and Vegetable : Lukie loves toeat every fruits. Brocoli is number one Vegetable for Lukie. Fresh tomatos, Carrot, Purple Cabbage slide, Ice berge lettuce with Ginger dressing.

Everything is okay but Lukie has to go for routine blood check(don't have a result yet).

First trimester Screening test.

Today I also have an appointment for 12 weeks check up for the new baby. After Gymboree class we had lunch and go strength to the hospital. Charlie and Lukie are also with me today at the hospital too. We got there earlier 15 minute to fill up the forms and wait about almost 30 minutes. One good thing there has toys for Lukie to play while waiting. Charlie and Lukie went in the Ultrasound room with me. The technician was very friendly and nice. We can see the baby pretty clear (but still black and white thought). Lukie was a little nervous. He thought that this check was for him (no honey your is tomorrow :P). He kept said " I want to hug mama".

Everything went good and I will receive the result in 7 days the nurse said. Charlie and I hope everything is okay with the little one. Worrying is already started.

Time flies when you are happy. Lukie is almost two years old. He talks so much. He understands a lot. I love to have Lukie sleep on the bed with us. I love to hug him when he sleeps.

When Lukie turned 23 months, he changed his eating habits. I can see he loves to eat more and eat bigger portions. I hope he has gained some weight when he goes for his two-years-old checkup.

Lukie is asking for his birthday cake every day now. He wanted to have a caterpillar cake for his birthday. I don't know if he understands what his birthday is. Soon enough Lukie will want to participate in making his birthday cake, I think.

Nowadays, Lukie loves to sing. Sometime he sings a long song, too. His favorite song is "Wheels on the Bus." He can sing it so many times that I get a headache, but it's still cute.

After we came back from San Francisco, Charlie decided not to let Lukie watch TV at all. It's been two months and Lukie is doing just great. The reason for this was because he was losing his interest in his toys and didn't pay attention to people as much. A lot of times he used to feed himself but when the TV was on he stopped. If we turned it off he would throw a tantrum and it was getting worse.

We had started letting him watch TV in the first place when he got sick at 16 months. Then I kept turning it on to keep him sitting in his high chair while I fed him. But it didn't really work very well.

Lukie's Abilities

Charlie and I read books for Lukie every day and night. I read for him at his nap time and Charlie reads at night before bed. Lukie actually memorized some of the passages from the books we read to him. One night after we finished reading Lukie said that he wanted to tell a story too. Then he recited the first page of "Curious George Makes Pancakes." He said, "This is George. George is a good yuyu (little) monkey and always very curious. One morning, the man with the yellow hat woke George early. Time to get up George, he said. The pancake breakfast is today." Lukie didn't miss a single word. We were amazed when we heard this.

Lukie loves singing. I can see him trying to sing along with his songs. His favorite songs are "The Wheels on the Bus," "I Like Trucks," and the ABC song. He always asks me to turn on his favorite songs and he wants to listen to them again and again.

Drawing is one of Lukie's favorite activities nowadays. I can see that sometimes he gets frustrated and has a meltdown when he tries to draw something and it doesn't come out the way he wanted. I taught him how to draw a flower once and he remembered how to draw it: Start with drawing a spiral first and then draw one straight line down for the stem.

Welcome a new member.

I just don't have much time to update my blog but somehow I have to introduce the newest member of my family. I have been pregnant about ten weeks already and of course the morning sickness is still on. Compared to the first time I think this morning sickness is a lot milder. I found out that I'm pregnant after I came back from San Francisco.

Lukie already knows that his mommy is having a baby but I still think that he doesn't understand yet. I told him while were taking a bath together. He was so funny. He asked me why my stomach was so big. I laughed and told him it's because there's a baby in there, and when the baby grows, mommy's stomach will get bigger and bigger, too. He listened and then poured water on my stomach and said, "I water it, baby is growing."

One day Lukie asked me if the baby can be fed. He wanted to show the baby how to eat. I laughed because of his innocence.

So far, so good this time with my pregnancy. I'm still dizzy sometimes. I lost weight, about 4 pounds, because I can't eat much. I went back and read my first pregnancy journal to see when I felt better the first time. Well, I was still sick like a dog at this point and my weight at that time was 111 pounds. If I still lost weight I think I would be at the same weight as the first pregnancy, too.

A lot of craving but I can't eat. I'm craving for pickles this time but I had one and didn't want any more.

Next week I will have to go see the doctor again to see how the baby is growing. I'm starting to get worried (again, this is my habit) because some days I forget to take my vitamins. Sometimes I feel sorry for the new baby because I don't have time to concentrate on him or her. Lukie makes me busy everyday. When he naps I have to lay down with him for an hour, too. I am very tired during the first trimester.

I'm sure the new baby will have a lot of fun and a lot of love. Welcome to the family, honey!

It's a bad day

Hi Lukie my love.

Sometimes something can happen and we have to be strong. I haven't updated this blog since April. I have to record this for you to read someday so you will understand that sometimes life is difficult.

Wednesday, July 1st, we got up in the morning like every day. Daddy always gets up before us and gets ready for work. On this day, grandma said that I might have a doctor appointment in the afternoon because a nurse called and left a message. Daddy tried to check for me to make sure, because as far as I knew I didn't have to see the doctor on this day. But the doctor's office wasn't open yet. So, just in case, I wanted to have the car.

We drove Daddy to work as usual. You had you big, fresh, soft and warm pretzel in your hand. Daddy prepared one each for you and himself. We dropped Daddy off and drove back home. We were almost home when I got a phone call. It was Daddy asking us to come back. I asked why but your Daddy said he would let us know later.

We got to Main Street, and I saw Daddy was carrying the things from his desk like his box of tissues. My first thought was that someone at work might be really sick so his boss sent him home. Daddy got in the car and said "I'm out." He said that his boss had to let him go because business was slow. Customers weren't paying their bills and he couldn't afford to keep Daddy there any longer. Well, in another words, he just got laid off. I was shocked and started a big cry. This happened to me once when I used to work at the bank. In my case it was because my work permit was expired. I didn't even realize it until I had to use my Social Security number to renew my driver's license, because my SS was on the work permit card. When I explained the situation to my supervisor at work, she decided right away that I couldn't work there anymore. It was my birthday, too.

When I heard that Daddy lost his job, I was so sad, emotional, confused and worried. You saw me cry and said "No Mama, it's okay" like I say to you when you cry. I looked at you, still crying. You asked, "Mama, do you want a pretzel?" and held up the big pretzel in your hand, so cute and innocent. I tried to stop crying and gave Daddy a big hug. I think he needed it.

In this situation, our family has to be tight. I wanted to hug you and Daddy very tight and never let you guys go. I also appreciate what I have right now more than before. If we had to rent a house or apartment right now this situation would be even more tough.

To Charlie, I love you very much. I know that sometimes we don't have time for each other because we are always giving our attention to our dear son. I just want to let you know that I still miss you very much as always and I will try to give you more hugs when I can, okay? I know you understand. Love you love you.

To Lukie, Mommy wants you to be the way you are, lovely, funny, silly and very big-hearted forever. The world is big and sometimes it is bigger than you think. Life in the real world is hard so you should be strong and smart. Reality is very rough sometimes. Nobody will spoil and pamper you like your family, you should know that too. Sometimes people need to be pampered, need hugs for comfort, I think.

Daddy and I promise to be by your side as long as we can. Whatever happens we will be here for you to comfort you when you need it. That's what family is all about, honey. Mommy and Daddy love you very much, sweetheart. Grow strong and healthy in mind and body, love.

When Lukie is in the bath

One of the most fun times for Lukie is bath time. He won't come out of the bath easily. While he is in there you can ask him to do a lot of things, except come out.

Lukie loves "My Neighbor Totoro"

Lukie never likes to sit in his high chair for long. I think this is normal for kids at his age.That is why I had to find something to make him stay put and eat his meal. According to his pediatrician, in order to get his attention when he loses interest in eating, I have to give him his favorite toy or book, then a crayon for him to draw, etc., to make him stay as long as possible in his highchair. The last thing to do is turn on the television. Charlie and I don't like him to see TV that much (or at all, really) but it works at getting him to eat. (We hope we can come up with something better or one day Lukie will learn how to sit longer. )

At first, we started with Charlie playing video games on the TV while I fed him until he was done and full. This method didn't work for so long. Then we changed to DVDs. I got a Thomas the Tank Engine DVD. We put it in and, surprisingly, Lukie liked Thomas the Tank Engine a lot. But it still didn't make him stay in his high chair for long. I was getting tired of following and feeding him while he was playing but it was the only way to make him eat enough to gain some weight.

My Neighbor Totoro is one of Charlie and my favorite movies. I remember the first time I watched this movie, I was pregnant with Lukie and visiting Charlie's parents in New Jersey at Christmas time. I loved the music and everything in this movie. I got the DVD as a gift from Charlie.

The first time I turned this movie on for Lukie was in the afternoon. Lukie was almost fully recovered from the rotavirus. He didn't want to nap. I turned it on just for something new and different for Lukie to see while having his lunch. Well, Lukie just sat in his bumbo seat and watched the intro of the movie while eating his lunch. No complaining or running around.

The drawing in this movie is amazing and the music is very beautiful. I can not remember how many times we watched it while eating dinner. I never get bored of listening to the soundtrack. Lukie sat in his high chair every time until he finished his dinner. I didn't have to follow him around anymore. When he was done and he wanted to get out I let him go but, amazingly, he was still interested in the movie. He would play and then stop to watch the screen. Now he even can say the character's names and also remembers what is going to happen in the next scene in the movie. (Yeah...that's because we turned it on so many time, you say.) :P

A couple of weeks ago Lukie broke the DVD player and the Totoro DVD by trying to put the Totoro DVD in by himself (I guess). I have no idea how he did it. When Charlie opened the tray to put in a DVD, he found two discs jammed into it.

Lukie didn't see Totoro for weeks. Yesterday, I thought he was missing Totoro so I turned it on YouTube for him. As you know, YouTube has everything (thank you, YouTube!). My Neighbor Totoro is also YouTube. Lukie ate his dinner and enjoyed the movie, and it didn't take that long for him to finish his pasta and meatball.

I also found a video of the original Japanese singer performing the Totoro theme song on YouTube. It was another surprise for me that my son suddenly said, "PEOPLE...PEOPLE SING TOTORO," and pointed at the monitor. It was cracking me up and I had to call Charlie to come and listen to what Lukie was saying. It is so funny that a little baby like Lukie could fall in love with something like this. I also thing this one of the best "first movies" to introduce to your little one.

Family Vacation (second time)

วางแผนเดินทางบิน ตอนแรกคิดอยู่ว่าจะบินไป ฟลอริด้าดีมั๊ย ชาลีอยากเยื่ยมเพื่อนรักที่เคยอยู่โดมเดียวกันสมัยเรียนอยู่ที่คอลเลจแต่ชาลีก็ไม่ได้ตัดสินใจว่าจะไปเมื่อไหร่ แถมเพื่อนก็ดูเหมือนจะไม่สะดวกหลาย ๆ เรื่องด้วยชาลีก็ไม่ได้ใส่ใจว่าจะต้องไปฟลอริด้า

เลยเสร็จปูเลยงั้นก็ 555 ปูเลยวางแผนไปเที่ยวและเยื่ยม(บุก)บ้านพี่ฟ้าใส ณ อังเคิลแซมซะเลย พี่ฟ้าเคยบินจาก ซานฟรานมาที่ วอลชิงตันดีซี แล้วขับรถ สามชั่วโมงมาเยื่ยมปูถึงนิวเจอร์ซี่ พร้อมลูกสาวและสามีชีด้วย

ไปหนนี้ไม่ได้ไปแค่ครอบครัวปูคนเดียว ไปกับพี่เติ้ล ซึ้งรู้จักกันมานานเหมือนกัน ก็คือ รู้จักประมาณเดียวกับที่เริ่มเข้า(วงการ) อังเคิลแซม ได้เจอตัวจริงพี่เติ้ลตอน ปี 2003 ที่นิวยอร์ค แล้วก็คุยกันมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน พี่เติ้ลนี่เป็นสาวตัวเล็ก ๆ ฮา ๆ นิสัยน่ารักตรงไปตรงมามาก ๆ ตั่งแต่ย้ายมาอยู่นิวเจอร์ซี่ ชีมาเยื่ยมปูสามหนแล้ว เพราะว่าสามีพี่เติ้ลต้องมาประชุมที่นิวเจอร์ซี่ บ่อย ๆ พี่เติ้ลก็เลยไม่อยู่นิ่ง ๆ ขับรถมาหาเลยถึงบ้าน(อันนี้ยกย่องความอึดของ แอลลี่ด้วย)

เจอแอลลี่ตอนอายุได้แค่ 5 กว่าๆเดือนเองมั้งหนแรกที่เจอ ส่วนลุ๊คกี้ก็ย่างเก้าเดือน ลูกของพี่ฟ้า และพี่เติ้ลนี่เกิดปีเดียวกับลุ๊คกี้ พี่ฟ้าคลอดก่อน สามเดือน แล้วปูก็คลอดลุ๊คกี้ แล้วก็แอลลี่ มีอะไรก็เลยปรึกษากันได้เรื่องลูก ลูกเราสามคนอายุห่างกันสามเดือนกว่านิด ๆ

แอลลี่กับลุ๊คกี้เจอกันหนแรก "ไม่มีคอกันทั้งคู่สังเกตุดี ๆ"(^^")

บินหนนี้เป็นหนแรกกับลุ๊คกี้ไม่รู้ว่าจะเกิดอะไรขี้นบ้างแต่ก็ต้องลองดู ดูเหมือนชาลีจะไม่ค่อยเนอเวิร์สเหมือนตอนบินหนแรกตอนที่กลับไปประเทศไทย ดังนั้นเรื่องจองโรงแรม และ ทำอะไรก็คือ ปูต้องทำและหาเองดีไปอีกอย่างแต่ชาลีก็ขอดูสถานที่

ลุ๊คกี้โชว์อ๊อฟ ส่วนแอลลี่สู้กล้องค่ะ (^^)

พี่ฟ้าพยายามอย่างมากให้ปูและชาลีและลุ๊คกี้อยู่ด้วยกันที่บ้านของพี่ฟ้า แต่ชาลีเกรงใจและคิดว่าไม่สะดวกเรื่องความเป็นส่วนตัวของเขาก็เลยขอตัวเช่าโรงแรมอยู่ดีกว่า อันนี้ก็ตามใจเขาแหละเพราะว่าชาลีนี่ชอบเข้าห้องน้ำนาน ๆ แถมเข้าบ่อยด้วยคิดว่าคงจะไม่สะดวกสำหรับเจ้าของบ้านเวลาอยากจะเข้าห้องน้ำบ้านตัวเองแต่ดันต้องมารอ ฝรั่งนี่เขาไม่ค่อยตลกนะ เวลาเคาะประตูแรง ๆ แบบแกล้งเวลาคนกำลังทำธุระอยู่ สมัยก่อนเพื่อนปูมาบ้านนี่เข้าห้องน้ำนาน ๆ เหรอ โธ่ไม่มีเวลาได้ทำธุระส่วนตัวหรอกค่ะ เพราะว่าจะรำคาญเสียงเคาะประตูมาก ๆ 5555

ทริปซานฟราน เห็นพี่เติ้ลกับพี่ฟ้าแนะนำว่าจะต้องไปเที่ยว Monterey ถ้ามาซานฟรานแล้วต้องไปให้ถึง ตื่นเต้นมากเพราะใคร ๆก็บอกว่าสวยและน่าเที่ยวมาก ส่วนตัวแล้วไม่เคยไปแคลริฟอร์เนียเลย นี่เป็นหนแรกที่จะได้บินพร้อมลูกและไปกันไกล ๆ แบบนี้ จองโรงแรมเรียบร้อย คิดว่าคงจะอยู่ในเมืองหลังจากที่กลับมาจาก Monterey แล้วเพราะว่าชาลีจะได้เดินเล่นอย่างที่เขาชอบ

วันที่จะไปก็คือวัน พุธ ถึง จันทร์ เดือน พฤษภาคม เป็นช่วงเทศกาลวันหยุดใหญ่ของอเมริกันเขาซะด้วยคือเริ่มฤดูร้อนก็จะเป็นวันหยุดยาว ๆ ดีเหมือนกันเพราะสมัยก่อน ก็ทำแต่งานฤดูอะไรก็ไม่ค่อยได้ไปไหนอยู่แล้วทริปนี้เลยพิเศษมาก ๆ แล้วจะพยายามถ่ายรูปมาเยอะ ๆ จ้า(ขออภัยรูปไม่ค่อยเข้ากับเรื่องที่คุยซักเท่าไหร่

ลุ๊คกี้เล่นสโนว์

ลุ๊คกี้ตั้งแต่ ผ่านวัย 19 เดือนมานี่พูดเป็นต่อยหอย พูดไม่หยุดเลยจริง ๆ จับคำได้เร็วขึ้น บางทีบอกไปก็ไม่ยอมพูด แต่วันรุ่งขึ้น ก็พูดทั้ง ๆ ที่ไม่ได้เริ่มพูดก่อน เวลาเขาพูดก็ปนภาษาไทย กับ ภาษาปะกิดบ้างเหมือนปูเลยเวลาพูดผสมกัน ชาลีไม่เข้าใจแต่ลูกเข้าใจ 555

ลุ๊คกี้เริ่มผสมคำแล้วจาก 1 คำ+1 คำ มาเป็น 2คำ+1คำ แล้วก็ตอนนี้สามารถพูดได้ 5 ถึง 6 คำ เช่น "โน มามา นัมนัม" ประโยคนี้เป็นประโยคเซอไพร้ส์ ซึ่งเกิดขึ้นตอนกำลังเอาลุ๊คกี้เข้านอน ชาลีกับปูก็นอนคุยกับลุ๊คกี้ไปเลื่อย ๆ ลุ๊คกี้หันไปล้วงคอเสื้อชาลี แล้วชาลีเลยถามว่า "Do you want Daddy's numnum?" ลุ๊คกี้ตอบ "No, Mama numnum." ได้ยินเขาพูดแบบนั้นเลยขำกันใหญ่

ลุ๊คกี้ชอบ สร้างคำขึ้นมาเอง อันนี้ไม่แน่ใจว่าจะหายหรือเปล่า หรืออาจจะหายก็ได้ เพราะว่าปูพยายามพูดให้ถูกต้องทุกหนที่สอนเขาเรื่องการพูด แต่ชอบสร้างคำของเขาขึ้นมาเอง เช่น กระรอก ลุ๊คกี้เรียก "ได๊ ชู" คริสมาสทรี ลุ๊คกี้เรียก "ดู บา ดี" ลิลเทิล "ยู ยู" No Thank you ลุ๊คกี้ บอก " No Ta Tu" สตรอเบอรรี่ ลุ๊คกี้ เรียก "บู อ้า ตี้" ถ้าพูดแบบนี้ไม่มีใครเข้าใจแน่ลูกเอ๋ย

ช่วงนี้เป็นเด็กดี กินเก่ง และกินเยอะ แต่ยังไม่กินง่ายเหมือนเดิม คือชอบก็จะกินเยอะมาก ๆ(ไม่พ้นบ่นเรื่องกิน)รู้สึกดีกับตัวปูเองด้วย เพราะว่าไม่หงุดหงิด ชาลีถามว่า เดือนนี้ ป จ ด ปูมาหรือยังปูบอกมาแล้ว เขาก็ตกใจเพราะว่าปกติแล้วเวลาหงุดหงิดแสดงว่า ป จ ด จะมาภายในสองสามวัน แต่เดือนนี้อารมณ์ดีจนสังเกตุไม่ได้ 5555

ลุ๊คกี้ล้ม(มามี้ขำกร๊าก..)

เรื่องพูด ที่ตลกอีกอย่าง หลังจากที่เริ่มจับประโยคได้เขาก็จะพยายามเอามาผสมกัน ที่น่าแปลกก็คือ เด็กผสมคำได้ถูกต้องตามหลัก แกรมม่าเลย555 ไม่ต้องสอน ภาษาไทยก็ถูกต้องเหมือนกัน เช่นเวลาอยากจะกิน สตรอเบอร์รี่ ก็จะบอกเป็นภาษาไทย "มามา อ้ำ บู อา ตี้ " (มามี้หม่ำสตรอเบอรรี่)

การสื่อสารดีมาก เข้าใจเยอะมาก ๆ จนบางทีปูเองรู้สึกว่าเขาแก่เกินตัวไปหน่อย รู้จักความหมาย รู้จักใช้คำพูดเวลาถามอะไรก็ตอบได้ถูกต้องเช่น "ลุ๊คกี้ ขึ้นจากอ่างเร็ว ลูก" ลุ๊คกี้ ตอบ "โน...โน..โน ตา ตุ้" ได้ยินแล้วก็ขำตลกดี

Rota virus and Lukie's 19 months

Two weeks ago Lukie was sick again. Since December he has been sick every month. First was an ear infection, than another, and lastly (I hope and pray) was Rotavirus.

Rotavirus is a very strong virus. I'm not sure where and when he got it. Lukie was so sick. He was throwing up the first night, and had diarrhea for a week. Of couse, I got infected, too, but not as bad because it hit me for only about three hours with very bad vomiting and diarrhea.

After one week of recovering, Lukie seems to be normal and his eating is better than before. It seems like his body is asking for all the nutrition that he lost while he was sick. I love it when Lukie asks me for something to eat every two hours.

Lukie is now 19 months and three days old. He is more talkative than ever. Now he loves to combine words. Sometimes he even tries to speak fast and combine words into a sentence. This is very cute and funny at the same time. Every day, he tries to speak a new word in English and Thai.

At this age, I can see Lukie is so curious and wants to learn all new things every day. He has fun using a fork and spoon. I let him, even though I know it will be messy every time. I can see his progress.

Lukie knows how to comfort Mommy and Daddy when he does something wrong or against the rules. He always gives us such a sweet smile and runs to me and gives me his big hug.

At 19 months he has changed so much. He understands more than I expected. Sometimes I just talk out loud but Lukie sometimes talks back to me and I'm amazed every time.

Lukie can speak little phrases such as "big yellow car." I'm trying to speak Thai to him sometimes but not all the time. It is very difficult for me. I speak mixed English and Thai sometimes and he understands.

Lukie can count 1 to 10 in Thai with me but not by himself yet. I can see he is very interested in talking like an adult. He tries to speak fast and mixes words together. It's very cute when he talks like that.

Mama want to loss some weight

หลังจากที่คลอดลุ๊คกี้ก็ไม่ได้ออกกำลังกายเลยจริง ๆ จัง ๆ ตอนช่วงคลอดลุ๊คกี้ก็ทำน้ำหนักขึ้นไปซะถึง 140 ปอร์น กี่ กิโลกรัมก็ไม่รู้ ต้องเอา 2.2 หารดู(กันเอง)ละกัน เลี้ยงลูกทุกวัน ให้นมทุกวัน ก็ต้องใช้พลังงานเยอะ อยากให้ลูกมีน้ำนมกิน ก็ต้องกินเพิ่ม แต่หลังจากที่ลุ๊คกี้ลด นม มาเป็นวันละสามมื้อปูก็ไม่ได้ กินเพิ่มเยอะเลย สามมือ ไม่มีสแน็คทาร์มด้วย น้ำหนักตัวก็ลงมาเหลือ 115 ปอร์น ซึ่งก่อนท้องน้ำหนัก ประมาณ 104 ปอร์น อยากลดน้ำหนักมาก แต่ทำไม่ได้เพราะว่าต้องให้นมลูก

หลังจากที่พยายามหย่านมลูกมาได้ 4 วัน คิดว่า ถ้าสามารถหย่านมลูกได้หมดทุกมื้อ ปูจะเริ่มออกกำลังกายจริง ๆ จัง ๆ ซะที อยากผอมค่ะ อยากใส่เสื้อผ้าเดิม ๆ ได้ พูดถึงตอนนี้ก็ใส่กางเกงเบอร์เก่าอ่ะนะ แต่พุงยังไม่ปั๊กเข้าที่ต้องบดพุงหน่อย

ซื้อ ซีดี ออกกำลังกายของ "เทอร์โบแจม"มาแล้ว ไม่ได้ซื้อไวตามินที่เขาขายคู่กันเพื่อที่จะได้ออกกำลังกายไม่เหนือย และช่วยเบิร์นไขมันแต่เพราะว่าหมอไม่แนะนำเลย ซ้อแต่ซีดีมา เอาก็เอาฟระดูซิจะเวิร์คหรือเปล่า แต่ต้องขอเวลาหน่อย ต้องขอเวลาชาลีช่วยดูลุ๊คกี้ซัก ชั่วโมงตอนเช้า จะได้ออกกำลังกายได้

นั่งรถไปเที่ยววัดไทยที่ ฟิลาเดเฟีย

วันนี้ ลุ๊คกี้ อายุ ขวบครึ่ง พอดิบพอดี ตอนนี้หายป่วยแล้วแต่ปูคนเป็นแม่ก็กลัว ๆ ว่าอาการไม่สบายจะกลับมาอีกทุกครั้งที่เห็นลุ๊คกี้ จาม หรือ ไอ

ปีนี้อากาศ หนาว จริง ๆ เห็นแม่บอกว่าที่นิวยอร์ค หนาวกว่า เพราะหิมะตกหนา ต้องออกไปตักหิมะกับจิมมี่บ่อย ๆ จนตัวแม่เองก็ไม่สบายมาสองอาทิตย์แล้วเหมือนกัน แม่เป็นหวัดเหมือนกับลุ๊คกี้ จากที่แกบอกว่าอยากจะให้ปูไปอยู่ที่นิวยอร์ค ซักอาทิตย์ ก็เลยไปได้ไปเพราะว่าไม่อยากให้ติดลุ๊คกี้อีก พูดไปอาการไอ ยังมีอยู่บ้างนิด ๆ นี่ก็เห็นแกรนม่า ไออีกแล้ว ดูเหมือนเชื้อมันไม่ไปไหนไกลเลยแหะ วนเวียนอยู่ในบ้านนี่แหละ ใช้กระดาษที่ไม่ทำให้ติดเชื้อเช็ดโต๊ะ และ พื้นที่บ้านทุกวันเลยช่วงนี้ (เป็นเอามากหรือเปล่า)

พูดถึงเรื่องลุ๊คกี้ ช่วงนี้เป็นเด็กดี ไม่งอแง ไม่ค่อยมีแทนทรัม(ไม่ค่อย) พูดอะไรรู้เรื่องฟังภาษาไทยรู้เรื่อง ภาษา English ก็เข้าใจ อืมดีเหมือนกันนะ เด็กนี่รับไวจริง ๆ

พัฒนาการลุ๊คกี้ เมื่อครบ 18 เดือน
ช่วงนี้ชอบอ่านหนังสือ อ่าน A B C ได้ รู้หมดทุกตัวถ้าถามแล้วให้เขาชี้ ว่าตัวไหนคือตัวไหน แต่ถ้าถามว่าตัวนี้คือ อะไรแล้วให้ออกเสียง จะสามารถพูดได้ 18 ตัว

ตัวที่ออกเสียงได้ คือ A,C,D,E,F,H,I,M,N,O,Q,R,S,T,U,W,X,และ Y
อ่าน ก.ไก่ ข. ไข่ ได้นิดหน่อย ช่วงแรกเขาก็นั่งอ่านทุกวันแต่ดูเหมือน ยังออกเสียงไม่ได้ ออกเสียงยากมั้งเลย เอาออกมาเปิดเล่นดูภาพซะส่วนใหญ่

รู้จักสี และออกเสียงสีได้ เพิ่งได้มา สองอาทิตย์นี่เอง คือ สีฟ้า Blue and Purple สีม่วง รู้จัก อันไหน สี่เหลี่ยม อันไหนวงกลม อันไหน สามเหลี่ยม

ไปหาหมอ18 เดือนก็มีหลายเรื่องที่ถามหมอ
เรื่องหย่านม หมอก็บอกว่าให้ทำได้แล้วจะได้เห็นผลในเรื่องของการกิน หมอเห็นว่าลุ๊คกี้ ดื่มนมที่ผสมน้ำส้มได้ บางทีก็ 8 ออนซ์ต่อวัน บางวันครึ่งเดียว ปูก็จับอัดโยเกิร์ท ตกวันละ 6 ออนซ์ หมอบอกโอเคแล้วเดือนนมได้ ตก 15 ออนซ์

เริ่มหย่านมจริง วันเสาร์คือ มื้อกลางวันและก่อนนอน เลือกที่จะหย่าสองมื้อนี้เพราะว่าลุ๊คกี้ไม่ค่อยสนใจขอเท่าไหร่ ไม่เหมือนตอนเช้าที่จะร้องงองแงมาก ๆ ตอนกลางคืนชาลีช่วยให้เอาเข้านอน ทำได้มา สี่คืนติดแล้ว

ความรู้สึกส่วนตัวรู้สึกเศร้าบอกไม่ถูก บรรยายไปเดี๋ยวหาว่าเว่อร์ไปหรือเปล่าแค่เรื่องเลิกให้นมลูกเอง ไม่รู้นะคะ มันเศร้าค่ะ T T

Sick again

ไม่สบายอีกแล้วลูก โห บอย..ยังไม่ทันจะหายได้ เกินเดือนเลย ลุ๊คกี้ไม่สบายอีกแล้ว เมื่อเดือนที่แล้ว ธันวาคม วันที่ 12 คือวันที่ลุ๊คกี้ไม่สบาย แล้วก็รักษาตัวจนหายทันได้เปิดของขวัญคริสมาส แต่ก็เพราะว่าไม่สบายมาก ๆ ก็ทำเอา ปู่ ย่า อา และ ปูเองไม่สบายไปด้วย เป็นตาม ๆ กันไป แล้วก็วนมาที่ ลุ๊คกี้อีกจนได้ อากาศก็เปลี่ยนบ่อยมาก ๆ เดี๋ยวอุ่น เดี๋ยวหนาวมาก ทำให้ลุ๊คกี้คงจะปรับตัวไม่ได้

วันอังคารที่ผ่านมา (01/06/2009) พาลุ๊คกี้ไปหาหมออีก เพราะว่าไอจนนอนไม่ได้ น่าสงสารมากไอขนาดที่ว่าตัวเองไม่อยากนอน ไอขนาดที่ว่าสำลักน้ำลายตัวเอง อวกแตกอวกแตน ก็เพราะว่ายังเล็กเหลือเกิน ขากเสมหะไม่เป็น

พาไปหาหมอก็บอกว่า กลับมาเป็น หูอักเสบอีก ข้างเดิมคือข้างขวา คิดว่าเพราะลุ๊คกี้ชอบนอนตะแคงขวาเลยทำให้เป็นแต่ไม่มากมายอะไรแค่ หัวชั้นในแดง ก็ให้ยาแอนไทไบออติคมากินอีก 10 วัน ดูลุ๊คกี้ชอบรสยาเลยไม่ค่อยมีปัญหาเรื่องกินยา แต่ปัญหาคือ ไม่ค่อยอยากอาหารอีกแล้วก็เข้าใจว่าไม่สบายอ่ะนะ บางที่ก็กินเข้าไปแล้วก็คงระคายคอเขา ก็อวกแตกอีกอุตส่าห์กินเข้าไป เลยทำให้ลุ๊คกี้ไม่อยากกินอะไรเลย

เพราะว่าไม่สบาย ระบบการนอนกลางวัน นอนตอนกลางคืนก็เปลี่ยนไป ดูเขาไม่ค่อยอยากนอนเพราะว่าเวลานอนจะไอมากกว่าเวลาที่วิ่งเล่นอยู่ นอนแล้วเสมหะคงลงคอเลยทำให้ต้องไป สงสารก็สงสารทำอะไรก็ไม่ได้ แต่ก็พยายามหา ดูโฮมเรมะดี้ ดูว่าเวลาไอแล้วควรจะทำอย่างไร

1. น้ำอุ่น ผสมน้ำมะนาว ผสม น้ำผึ้ง อืม ลุ๊คกี้ทำอี๊ดอ๊าด ไม่ลองแต่พอลองไปแล้วก็ชอบ จิบ ๆ ไป ก็ดูเหมือนจะเวิร์คนิดหน่อย ไม่ค่อยไอ

2. ใช้วิค วาโป ลับ ทาที่เท้าสองข้างก่อนนอน แล้วใส่ถุงเท้า ก็ลองดูไม่ไอเหมือนกัน แต่คิดว่าอาจจะเป็นเพราะเหนื่อยมาก เพราะว่าเมื่อคืน (01/09/2009) กว่าจะนอนได้ เกือบเที่ยงคืน ตื่นกลางวันตอน บ่ายสาม อยู่ได้ 9 ชั่วโมง
