Last updated of 2012

Updated since last post
Lukie at Grandpa and Grandma's house before school opened.

Gio had fun at Grandpa and Grandma's house.

Since school began for Lukie, it has been very busy for all of us in the family. I haven't had a chance to update my blog for almost half a year. Thank goodness my kids were healthy the whole summer long. School opened the second week of September and Lukie stayed healthy until December. The busy routine made me fall asleep with the kids at night sometimes. Some nights I stayed up late to bake snacks for Lukie's school I didn't mind doing it because I love baking.

Lukie as Link from Legend of Zelda.

Giovanni as Count Dracula

October, the month of our favorite customs

Lukie and Gio had so much fun trick-or-treating this year. It was a little scary for Lukie because we had a bad storm called Sandy. It caused a lot of damage in the city and some other places. We didn't have cable or telephone service for three days but we were lucky to have electricity. Some towns nearby had to cancel trick-or-treating. I took Lukie and Gio to Sag Harbor, which was still flooded in parts. Some stores were not ready for trick-or-treating. Lukie and Gio still got a lot of candy from some generous merchants. Gio picked only lollipops. I also took Lukie and Gio to trick-or-treat at my friend's house in Water Mill. The kids had so much fun that Gio asked me to take him trick-or-treating again the next day.

Gio also had a lot of fun at Lukie's play.

The cutest pilgrim.

November: Thanksgiving and Lukie's school events.

I started working weekends at Williams-Sonoma. The kids stay with Charlie during the weekends. We had Eddie and Kik, Johnny, Shannon and Sadie come to visit for Thanksgiving in Sag Harbor. The kids had a lot of fun together, especially Lukie and Sadie. They played very nicely together. Lukie was so happy to have Sadie stay over and play all day and almost all night.

Before Thanksgiving, Lukie was in a play at school. Charlie, Gio and I went to see the performance. Every time I see Lukie performing with his schoolmates I feel so profound and tears are in my eyes. I'm so proud of him.

 Busy opening all the presents.

Santa came late this year but still gave awesome gifts to Lukie and Gio.

Lukie and Gio were so happy and had so much fun with their presents.

December, the month of happiness and the busiest month.

I'm sure December is the busiest month for everyone. The first week of the month I had to bake for school. Our whole family had pink eye for two weeks. Gio and Lukie were sick before that. I still worked during the weekend, came home and baked rainbow cookies for Lukie's classmates and teachers at school. Charlie also took some to his friends at work, and we sent some to Jimmy's brother and sisters with our Christmas card. We headed to New Jersey on Christmas Eve. Lukie was counting the days until Christmas Even since Thanksgiving. We stayed at a motel in New Jersey for four nights. Lukie and Gio got to see Santa at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Lukie was very happy that he got the only thing he asked for from Santa: Paper Mario Sticker Star. Gio had lots of fun opening presents. Thanks to Grandma, Grandpa and uncles for the wonderful gifts.

New Year is coming in two days. I wish everyone the best health and good luck.
Happy Holidays, everyone.

Lukie 5 years old check up

Lukie had a wellness check up one week after he turned five. Papa Jim and Gio came with us to the doctor's office. Papa watched Gio but of course Gio was calling for me after five minutes. The doctor let him play with the toys in the waiting area just outside the examination room.
The check up went well. Lukie got three shots. He cried as usual. He's still afraid of needles.
The doctor asked a lot of questions. He asked if Luke could tell him his home address or phone number. Luke knew the address but couldn't remember the phone number. The doctor suggested it is very important for kids nowadays to remember their phone number in case they get lost. We are working on this now. The doctor also asked about Luke's behavior and how I discipline him when he misbehaves. He asked if I speak Thai with Lukie. I said that I try my best. He said it's a good thing for kids to learn two languages at a young age and I should not give up.

A special note from Lukie one day before Mother's Day 2012!

Lukie had very good conversation with the Doctor when he asked him question. I love Lukie that he is not shine in some way like talking or asking another people questions when he doesn't know things. Lukie did well with answering question Doctor asked him.
About Lukie's development

Lukie played soccer from July 10 - Aug 2

Lukie's first day at soccer class.

Another mom told me about a soccer program for children this summer. I asked Lukie if he would like to try it. He said yes because some of his friends were in the program. The program was run by the coach at the local high school. There were teams for kids of different ages. Lukie was in the 4-6 age group. This was his first time playing soccer. He was excited and couldn't wait to try it. Fortunately, none of the soccer days was too hot and it only rained once. Papa Jim came along and helped watch Gio for me. The program was on Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. First, I thought it would be difficult breaking our routine and having dinner later than usual. Surprisingly, the kids weren't cranky. They have so much energy.

Met new friends at the soccer class.

Learned so fast and he likes the game a lot.

Mr. Gio always came with Mommy and Luke.

Warm-up session.

Daddy came and helped play with Gio every Thursday whiled mommy helped coach Luke.

Great kicking, just look at his face!

Lukie turned 5 and his birthday

Luke's favorites character, Super Mario

July 27,2012,was Luke's fifth birthday. Luke decided to have his birthday party in New Jersey with Grandpa and Grandma and his cousin Sadie. So we drove to New Jersey on Friday morning. The kids had just bagels and milk in the car and no one complained. We got to Grandpa's house a little after 12:00 p.m. Luke was so happy that his cousin Sadie was already there. They played together right away.

I'm five now!!

Most of the presents were sent to New Jersey. Johnny and Shannon got to the house on Thursday night. We had planned to leave Sag Harbor on Thursday night too but because of the big storm warning we decided to wait until Friday morning.

Luke with all his favorite friends and family.

Not long after we got there Luke wanted to swim. After he swam with Sadie the two girls from next door came and swam with them and they had so much fun.

A strong hit from Lukie, LOL

Candy time for everyone.

Mario pinata after it had been hit more than 100 times...still looked pretty good.

Luke had a snack and then blew out the candles on his cake. After that, he had a surprise: a Mario pinata for his birthday. Even Luke's cake had a Mario design. The cake-maker did a wonderful job. It was such a cute ice cream cake and Lukie asked grandma not to cut Mario. Gio didn't care about the pinata. He was too busy climbing the ladder and jumping in the pool over and over again. He did stop for a moment to watch Lukie and friends hitting the pinata.

Mr.Gio loved diving.

Luke had a  very delightful birthday party with all his loved ones. I let him play and eat dinner late and he had so much fun opening his birthday presents. I did not even know that he opened the presents from every one already until he came upstairs with all the presents that I had just express-wrapped in the bedroom.

Special thanks for special people :

Busy Summer 2012.

After school closed the kids and I went to  NJ for one week. Lukie and Gio had a lot of fun swimming in the new pool Grandpa and Grandma put it together. Lukie braved to swim by him self with out the tube. The water was not  deep so Lukie could swim and tip-toe in the pool. Gio had a lot of fun jumped off from the steps. He count "1 2 3 4 5 Jump!!!" again and again.

Brothers!!

Lukie spent a lot of outdoor times played with the girls twin sister Kathlin and Casie. They road the bike with him, play swing with him and also Nintendo Wii too.

Lukie clicked! He can swing by himself with out help pushing.

Only two weeks pass Lukie and Gio had already got some tan on their skin. I was pretty hot in New Jersey when we were there. It was about 10:00am in the morning and the heat was about 94 degree already.

Brothers conversation!!(looked like)

A happy jumpping baby! He sured Mommy always catched him.

Gio loved exercise by playing at the swing set before breakfast. I stay with the kids since Monday. Charlie came to NJ on Friday night.

Finished Pre-k of Montessori and the next step of Lukie

Luke's Mother's day performance at Montessori.

I can't believe how fast time flies. Luke had already finished his pre kindergarten from the morning school. Since February he started two schools. Morning at the Montessori and the afternoon at pre-k in Sag Harbor school district. He loves both schools and friends. I'm so glad Lukie doing very well at both schools.

The next year he will be at  the Montessori  only  from morning to afternoon. He is looking forward to come back the next semester for the Kindergarten class at the Montessori. He knows which teacher he will be with because he had already when study some math, reading and writing with the kindergarten kids. I'm not even know the teacher name until Lukie  told me.

The next semester he will has to bring his own lunch box and eat with  his friends. I got to have to be serious about menus to make for him every days. Charlie and I still want to drive him to school and I will be the one who  pick him up like every days. I just think he is still too little for the school bus he eligible.

Halloween 2011 in Sag Harbor and Thanksgiving day.

Halloween Day!!

Luke Sky Walker.

Chubby Jerry.

Gio at Lukie's Pre-k school.

This year Halloween is so much fun. Lukie had a lot of fun with his friends in Pre-k class. They had Halloween party at school. It is fun seeing kids dress up it the custom they like. Gio was going to be baby Yoda but he didn't like the way the hat looks so he was cried while I tried the custom on for him. It didn't work so Papa Jim went to the 5&10 store and bought a Jerry custom for him. Gio LOVES it so much that he would wear it in the house.

Lukie worked hard on trick or treating this year and very well listening about not opened or eatting them before we got home. I'm so pround of him. When we got home both of them pour all the candies out together and I let Lukie picked five candies he like the most. Gio tried rolly pop. They wear pretty happy after all.

Thanks Giving Day

Cooking Turkey is alway a lot of work but very fun. Lukie knows about Thanks Giving tradition very well now. He knows that on this day we have to cook turkey and eat it with cranberry sauce. It is best when Yai-Yai made them. This year I just came back from two weeks visited my farther in Thailand. I left two day after the Halloween day.

It's great to be together with the family your kids and your husband. I missed them so much when I was in Thailand. I'm thanksful to have this moment with them again.
Gio made a cutie face.

Mr. Luke talked to Uncle Ed.

Mr.Gio made his favorites face "scarry face." (^_^)

Great smiled !!!
