Gio had his well checkup at 15 months in New Jersey. The appointment was at 3 p.m. Both Lukie and Gio always start to cry when the nurse comes in and asks me to undress them. With Lukie, this was not such a problem, but Gio usually throws up when he cries alot. Luckily, he didn't cry this time.
Gio's Growth
Weight: 23 lbs., 8 oz. (gained one pound from the last three months)
Height: 32.25 inches (one and 1/4 inch)
Head Circumference : 18.25 inches
The doctor asked me about his speaking. I said that Gio picks up words very quickly and talks a lot. He can say three words together, such as "look at that" and "look at this." Gio can speak some Thai words. He is very healthy but still throws up very easily when I'm feeding him or when he cries. The doctor said he probably has reflux. She said she is not worried as long as he continues to gain weight. She suggested that I continue feeding him smaller portions more often throughout the day.
Gio's Milestones
Gio can speak a lot of Thai words such as tug din (ตักดิน), shovel in English, pid (ปิด), close in English, perd (เปิด), open in English, norn (นอน), sleep in English, um (อ้ำ), kin (กิน), eat in English, num (น้ำ), water in English, pud lom (พัดลม) is fan, hu (หู) is ear, ta (ตา) is eye and fai(ไฟ) is light in English.
Gio also calls Lukie but he says "Luca." He can copy what you teach him to do with hands like "wind the pop and pull." Gio likes to draw with Lukie and has started to play with Lukie at some games like peek-a-boo.
Milk: We have some work to do at getting Gio to drink milk. He doesn't mind drinking cow's milk, but he still doesn't take enough for me to wean him off breastmilk completely. At age 15 months, Gio still takes breastmilk in the morning and before bed.
Sleep: Gio sleeps about 12 hours and naps once a day for about an hour and a half to two hours and a half.
Grow strong, sweetheart. We love you very much.
