Here comes the birthday boy!
Today is July 28, 2008. Lukie is one year and one day old. After having celebrated his first birthday at Grandpa Jimmy and Kun Yai's house in Sag Harbor on the 26th (one day early), we drove back to New Jersey yesterday. Lukie and I stayed there for one week before his birthday. Lukie had a lot of fun at Grandpa Jimmy's house. We went to the beach almost every day. Because of that, Lukie is very tan right now. My son loves outdoors activities. Even though last weekend was very hot, Lukie didn't mind being outside. He walked and ran until his hair was all wet and his cheeks were red.
On his birthday, Lukie seemed to be very happy. First he saw all the decorations and balloons. He got up pretty early and later took a nap for about two hours. He woke up and found Grandpa and Grandma from New Jersey, and Uncle John, Aunt Maria and cousin Kristen all waiting to see him. A lot of presents for Lukie. He didn't know how to open them, but he was excited to see what was inside the colorful wrapping paper.

Birthday boy is a little tired.
I love to see Lukie smile and laugh when he play with my mom. My mother loves to play peek-a-boo with him. Grandpa Jimmy loves to take a ride to the beach with Lukie and be his "buddy guide" at the beach.
Birthday boy stayed awake from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on his first birthday. He fell asleep like lighting. A lot of excitment and activity for a very lucky boy.

What's this, Grandpa?
