Yee haa.. !

It hard staying inside the house all day with two active kids. Lukie as always prefer to play outdoor. Gio loves play outdoor just like his brother. But if I got up in the morning and didn't have schedules to take them out anywhere and raining like today, I knew it it is going to be a hard ,boring and a long day for all of us.

Lukie at his age Loves to play pretend game very much (just like the book said). He likes to play a story from the book we read. He could be the little bear and I'm a mama bear. I could be princess peach from the Super Mario Brother and he will be Mario and Charlie will be Luigi. To make him stay in control and not make so messy house is also difficult. I had to firm and not let them rule the house by take all the toys out from the toys box or throw all the cushions off from the sofa.

Today we played something that everyone(I guess) Lukie and Gio like it very much. I got them to wear cowboy hats and ride on the fire truck and a moo cow ride. We were in the West and Lukie were Sheriff and Gio was baby a cowboy. Riding their truck and moo cow around the house. Lukie love it very much he kept on and on for three hours. I couldn't believe that I spended that much time playing with my kids and almost forgot cooking dinner.

Well, at least I think it better than let my kids playing by them self and turn TV on and I window shopping on the Internet. Next time I hope Lukie and Gio will bake with me.

4 Days to Thailand.

Only 4 days lift until we are going to visit Kun Ta in Thailand. Last time Lukie and I went to Thailand with Papa Jim and Yai Yai. Kun Ta didn't doing well so we have to visit him as often as we can. As often mean We can try to go if our financial is supported. This time is going to be the best l because Charlie and Gio are going to visit Kun Ta this time with us too. Nothing better than Kun Ta can see all of us together.


Lukie is very excited to fly with Charlie again. He still remembered the last flight with out Chalie and its made him very sad for pretty long time and he still remembered it until now. Chalie got ready for his snacks and I'm try to finish pack the kids luggages. I feel like it is almost impossible to finished.



We will stay for 10 days. Thailand here we come!!

We drove three hours to New Jersey for Gio's one-year well visit to his pediatrician. The drive was smooth because Lukie and Gio napped most of the way. However, Gio cried near the end and made himself throw up. Charlie opened the window and I tried to clean up the mess but the smell was still pretty bad.

Gio was nine months at his last check-up. He threw up after his shot. Two weeks later, both Gio and Lukie were sick with colds. Both of them throw up very easily. I would say they have a very sensitive gag reflex. For a while, Gio was throwing up five days a week, sometimes twice a day. The nasal drip from his cold would bother him during feeding and all my work would be lost.

We arrived at about 1 p.m. We bathed Gio and changed his outfit, fed he and Lukie, then headed out to the doctor's office.

We asked the doctor about Gio's vomiting. She said it didn't worry her because he was still growing well. She said the problem might be in the swallowing mechanism but this usually gets better on its own. The only way to check is by having an X-ray taken but she recommended against exposing one-year-old Gio to that much radiation. We agreed. The doctor's advice was to feed Gio more often, in smaller portions. Normally, I feed him three meals a day and he eats about 8 oz. each time. The biggest meal is breakfast and he almost never throws up in the morning.

Gio got four shots this time. He cried until he tired himself out and then fell asleep as if he had passed out. The doctor said to be patient with his transition to solids. Gio still eats about 95% mushy foods.

We stayed the night at a hotel near Princeton. Charlie's birthday was the next day and we had planned to celebrate by eating at one of our favorite restaurants. Lukie had a great time and was a good boy for the entire stay.

Gio's Milestones

Gio starting walking as soon as he turned 11 months old, just like his big brother. He talks a lot and makes funny sounds. He points at objects and says their names. For example, he can say pai-pai, which means "light" in Thai. He also says: Mommy, Dah-dah or Dah-yee (for Daddy), Papa (for Papa Jim), Yai-Yai (Thai grandmother), mai (for flower -- as in the Thai "dok mai"), jut-jut for a spot on the wall (also Thai), mu-mu for a windmill, and, of course, no. He loves listening to music and dancing, and making gestures with his hands.

Gio's First Birthday

On Gio's first birthday I had planned to take him to get his passport, but it was snowing, so I called the post office and canceled the appointment. Charlie couldn't drive to work because the roads were very slippery.

So Daddy was home for Gio's birthday and helped me make the birthday cake. I got a yellow cake recipe online. It was the best I've ever made, moist and delicious. I decided to do something special. Rather than just a round cake, I made it in the shape of the number one. Because Charlie was home, I was also able to cook dinner.

Gio was happy as always, walking and playing with his and Lukie's toys. After dinner, Gio got to blow out his candles. Lukie helped him. Then Gio played with his cake, poking it with his finger but never actually tasting it.

After Gio's bath it was time to open the birthday presents. He had presents from Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Shannon, Uncle Johnny and Sadie. Lukie loved helping Gio open the presents and "checked" them first. Gio didn't mind but when he wanted something he took it from Lukie and said, "no, no, no-toh." That was pretty funny.

The birthday boy went to bad happily like every night. I actually like this kind of birthday party. It was just for us and very mellow but still memorable.
